I've got the writer's block blues
My mind has gone astray in a thick haze
I've got the writer's block blues
I can't seem to break through this daze
Frayed neurons and a sprained right brain
I really hope this is only a short phase

My innovation seems to have disappeared
My brain is thoroughly fried
My innovation has definitely vanished
Every last synapse is fried
Mental smog, frustration, despondence
Will this wretched curse ever subside?

I've got the writer's block blues
I can't shake this affliction
I'm singing the writer's block blues
I can't seem to rid myself of this affliction
Incoherent thoughts, paralyzed notions
I wonder; will I ever find my diction?
