Look in the Mirror

There was a girl
she had it all;
money and friends
a boyfriend to call.

This girl was the best
in whatever she did;
she was great to know
she never hid.

But this girl was down
from her parents' divorce;
now she spends time between them
to smile she's forced.

This girl couldn't take it
she wanted to go;
the pain she has suffered
she wanted them to know.

One night so late
all were asleep;
she was ready to go
she started to weep.

She picked up the blade
and carved through her skin;
blood dripped down
she started to spin.

Her vision became hazy
her breathing slowed down;
within a few seconds
she crashed to the ground.

Her mom was awakened
she ran down the stairs;
her daughter was dead
she burst out in tears.

Now the girl's looking down
on what she left behind;
but it's already too late
she cannot rewind.

She walks away
walks into the sky;
dwelling on the fact
she was living a lie.
