It's been a month now

It's been a month now,
Since i have given in to temptation,
Though they still bother me,
I now have the information.

The results that i longed for,
And the means that they told me to use,
Would do more then expected,
And would blow not only my fuse.

They told me to do it,
I'd plead and I'd beg,
But it was the wish withing me,
That drove it to the end.

I'd lie in bed at night,
And hope that tomorrow I'd wake,
In a hospital bed,
Running out of cake.

I then acted upon this,
And reached for my knife,
Then slit my own wrist,
To try and end this strife.

I hurried to clean up,
For no one could know,
What had happened right here,
Less then a minute ago.

I bandaged my wrist,
And pulled down my sleeve,
For my attempt had failed,
My attempt to leave.

My friend found out,
Through careful inspection,
And tried to help me,
And get my attention.

She told me that my actions,
Would do more then i had intended,
And if i had succeeded,
She couldn't have been mended.

It's been a month now,
Since i have given in to temptation,
Though they still bother me,
I now have the information.
