The love of the sea

The blue of the water
Six fathoms so deep
The roll of the waves
Lull our bodies to sleep
You lie down beside me
The cabin so small
We drift in the current
On the downside we fall
The sound of the halyard
The clips on the mast
The sound of the buoy
That we just passed
Bring our bodies together
As one we sail the sea
Being all alone here
We dream of being free
Free from the bond
Of landlocked chores
I belong to you my dear
This life with no doors
We hold ourselves up
To the tall task
Of being on the briny
Without our earthly mask
