A poets farewell

Alas to an end of this chapter in life
Saving the future to my souls time
This world was a residence for my mind
And left me with, a not so steep climb
Nerves contained in my friends arms,
Appealing or loathed it matters not.
Temperate feelings from written words;
Never forgetting the lessons taught.

The honest and struggling spirits here
Deserve their moment in the light.
I pray for us to be kind to humanity;
Forbearance must be always in sight.
With all my admiration, I say farewell
Of my work I beg that you tell.
