remember me - before the leave

remember that time
when i can make these rhymes
just as they come to mind
creating poetry about me trying to find
the truth i see, every single crime
without that single tone of a chime
and looking in the mirror without my mime
watching myself flying and suddenly everything crashes
finding my soul turning into ashes
overarmed my voice - amongst you mashes
since these scars from these lashes
never go away, just marks and dashes
but remember me for what i used to me
the one that used to believe
in everything
remember me before my leave
and before i shed blood on my sleeve
get up and start to see
these wrists of my that tend to bleed
and my armored will suddenly keyed
so help me take my flight on this plane
blind me from my death through the windowpane
for now, and ever
whenever you try to remember
me
for who i am to be
reluctantly
Dennis, just another human being.
