So you’re in town, everyone knows
Back to take another blow
You pushed me down but I fell steady
And you’ve returned when I’m good and ready
I know you try to break me into pieces
Try to twist me with your obvious teases
But I’m not wrapped around your finger
And my striving patience has gotten bigger
You use to be the big man on campus, a big hot shot
The most wanted, one to envy, but now you are not
And everytime you look at me, you’re challenging me
But I won’t come around
I can’t remember why, you were the funniest guy
Your jokes just bring me down
Your bad ways that are more like petty attempts
Seem to get you in detention
And your loud voice and bold steps
Are just to win over attention
You smoked and you swore for some perks
Well now you smell and you act like a jerk
It would appear that you’re trying too hard
Trying to run a sitcom with only one star
That L on your forehead has grown more visible
And the pranks that you pull have become dismissable
Your spotlight died a long time ago
The winks, the kisses and hallway hello’s
Believe me when I say you were just a faze
It’s time to snap out of this starry daze
We’re over you, now pack your bags
You’ve gotta realize, some things change
