He lays himself apon the mirror,
Face to face with what he has become.
Misery at his side; a companion, a foe, a fear.
His screams reflected in her eyes, but no-one can hear.

His blood soaked hands, hurt and throb.
As his battle worn body falls victim to the pain.
Falling to his knees, his weary eyes close, as he starts to sob.
He looks into Misery's eyes, and gives in with a simple nod.

Hiding in the shadows of a dream, with no-one near.
Tired and overwhelmed, he lets the pain consume him whole.
Ending his will to go on, with the shed of a single tear.
As he opened his eyes and I looked at myself, through the tear-stained
mirror
