Could These Tears Forgive Me?

Holding these tears
In place from this sorrow
And regret of never
Speaking the words I've never heard.

How I wish to grab your wrists
And beg for forgiveness.
I see my insolence now.
I promise.

I wish you could remember
How I stared into your eyes
And cried these tears
That I am now holding in place
To refrain from ruining
The only moment I have.

How I long for love, my dear.
You promised this strange thing.
Although I cannot feel this love
I hold on....
I hold on.
