Love Creed

stand by the ocean tide
in the darkness the tears hide
screaming as loud as you want
knowing no ones there but the ones that haunt
Wishing for love; wishing pain no more
but nothings responding, only the pulse of the shore
emotions turn and twist inside of you
but along with this sadness is anger too
collapsing among your tongue you yell
you wish that if there is no love, then take me to hell
still, nothing responds or repeats
that only causes the anger to heat
no longer the kid you used to be
you shout and scream in emotional agony
after a time, you start to walk away from the sea
thinking of when you were 6, how happy you would be
but the past is the past
and love to you, no longer lasts
all is left is anger and sorrow
but maybe, perhaps, we'll get a response and find love at our door
tomorrow...

waking up the next morning
only to see my heart still mourning
life never giving us the love we need
"Love never did love me" shall now be our Creed...
