You're getting a little rusted
I'm disgusted I must say
Set the bottle down
Let's go back to yesturday
Remember the time
When we drank all that wine
We didn't know any better
It was the first time we'd met
Who knows where the time went
But somehow we wound up together
Life was wonderful
We had a love that was true
My eyes filled with tears
On that day I said I do
It wasn't until later
When I was spending my life with you
I was shown a new side
There was nothing I could do
You fell under the drink
Who was I to think
That I could make things any better
The bruises i'd wear
Although you said you still cared
It was just something we'd both have to whether
Time had gone on
I've tried to stay strong
But there's some things that make-up can't cover
Say goodbye to your wife
I'll say hello to my new life
and so long to my former lover.
