I screamed inside my head
and clenched my fists.
To prevent words Id later regret
escape from my mouth.

I looked into your eyes
and saw no remorse.
A cold blank dark reflection
was all that looked back at me.

I tried to grasp why and
find reasoning to your actions,
but these questions remain unanswered.
Theyve not yet been put to rest

They say time heals all wounds
but this shattering of my heart
from a hammer belonging to you
will heal long after the worlds all gone.
