A child cries when he is taken from his mother
He screams and shouts for he is used to no other

The child wonders why they have been torn apart
It breaks the poor little child's heart

Everyday he will wait expectantly for her return
His little face at the window, he feels it burn

Something's not right, what could be going on?
Finally one day there is a ring at the door at dawn

It's the child's mother with a little bundle in her arms
Once again the child feels invulnerable to all harms

The child looks at his new sibling who gives a coo
He whispers, "Don't worry, she'll always be here for you
too."
