This world has caused me so much pain
This world has caused me so much hurt
It all just feels like piercing rain
Making me feel like mud and dirt

As I cry myself to sleep
To escape this nightmare of a world
Never wanting to hear a peep
From this nightmare wanting to make me hurl

As I wander in my dreams
My only escape from reality
I find that nothing is what it seems
Nothing was ever meant to be

I don’t want to go back
To that depressing place
Love is what that world lacks
That, I just don’t want to face

So I stay in my head
Nothing may be what it seems
But I’d rather stay in my bed
Safely drifting in my dreams
