I am in such surprise
You seem to be either in envy
Or you don’t trust me in your eyes
The answer, I would love to see

Just because someone tells me they love me
Doesn’t mean I’m cheating on you with her
That seems to be something your heart fails to see
I wonder what lead the mistrust to occur

Then you say that you don’t want to talk to me
That really hurt, but that’s something I understand for now
Until you are ready to talk with an open mind, I’ll leave you be
I’ll do this to avoid hurting you, which was my vow

Can you answer me this, I beg that you do
I love you so much; it is something that is out of control, you know that
Why would I give my secrets and my heart to you?
And go with another one and love them behind your back

I made a promise that I would never do anything to hurt you
I am a man of my word, I would never jeopardize that
I said that I would be there to love and protect you
From the bottom of my heart, that is a fact

I ask that you think things over before you get mad
The way you accused me seemed pretty unjust
I don’t want to be heartbroken, eternally sad
I just ask for something real, your love and trust
