Stop Knocking

Put the chain and the bars up
I locked all of my doors
You’re knocking on my door
Why are you knocking?
I don’t want you knocking
No more, No more

The nights have changed
And I can’t see past the moon
I think I’m burning out inside
And it’s happening way too soon

The way I’ve acted
Is a little overrated, I know
I’ve backed myself into a corner
And it goes to show

That every dollar
Could not buy a second chance
Life’s rough tango
Is the hardest dance to dance

I’ve seen falls
To steep to survive
I’ve seen fate
Take each of my friend’s lives

So if life is knocking
I ain’t opening my door
No, No, it ain’t opening
I’ve seen it all before

So why are you knocking?
My window says it’s you
I’m not ready
For what you plan to take me through
