Will the wind of spring erode this frown
Can the sun really brighten up my day
And despite how insane this must sound
I think I like it better this way
Feelings seem to switch like the weather
Sometimes it’s icy, we all slip
We keep smiling because it’ll get better
Tears hidden behind pairs of lips
The snow freezes my heart so cold
My feelings for you hibernate
And just when I think it’s getting old
You come back and infatuate
Like a boomerang I catch your fever
My favourite patch to my life’s quilt
And I wish that this humble weaver
Wouldn’t let my flower wilt
Frost covers all my footsteps
Can’t retrace or learn from the past
The way you chase me and never rest
Makes my heart go so very fast
This abstract picture I’ve painted
Has your colour splattered
People complain because it’s tainted
As if it actually mattered
The fever is making me burn up inside
No rest because I’m so restless
Let’s just hope I’m stronger this time
Because I know this heat is endless
