The Factory

The fires of industry never sleep
While the honor of man is sold dirt cheap
Pile your cares upon the fire
While gold in hand the men acquire

Land of the free, home of the brave
Only in the factory, are you a slave
Building a dream, while living a lie
Continue to work, continue to die

No one can see in the fog and the steam
“But, we’re living the life, the American dream”
Forever they hide behind their worldly-ways
Watching there life go up in a blaze
Building a dream, while living a lie
Continue to work, continue to die

Controlled by the factory
Controlled by its power
Controlled by the fear of being devoured

The factory stands, even today
The factory workers, are still in dismay
They are completely controlled by the factories power
And will continue to work, hour, after hour.
