water droplets stain my window
fall slowly, leave a trail
a paddleless boat, I can’t row
there is no sail

foggy sidewalks stretch far along
can’t see where it leads
flowers are wilting a soft song
with lifeless seeds

compressed emotions cry silently
when will the nightmares stop?
stealing me violently
my pulse’s pace drops

oh sweet breath’s remorse
don’t take on me what life has took on you
I wait for the dark course
the one I shall go through

and with your permission
I’ll let you slip away
no need for last words or missions
on my last day
