“She doesn’t deserve you”
“It’s not worth what you’re going through”
These words haunt my every day
And every word sends my mind astray
“She’ll only hurt you in the end”
And “You’re just setting yourself up again”
Is the advice I get
But I will never let
It make me forget why
I need you by my side

You’re the hope inside of me
You’ve sent the pain I had away
The darkness has finally seen the light
And you’re the reason I dream tonight
Free from the pain I held in
You’ve brought back the joy I had within
They can say it’s wrong, say it from the start
But I’ll never listen to anything but what’s in my heart

Lie ‘till the fight is through
I don’t need to prove them wrong

This point of view answers why
