brothers and sisters I’m mourning you tonight
cause were the ones who say nothing right
ill rush to my room as the hearse speeds away
and shut down the fan when the clouds strike me gray

this is your love song
this is your broken heart
this is your joy for the day
and this
is your mistake
and this
is your heartache
and this
is what you’ve lost
so drag your hopes on

and i hope you didn’t overachieve this time
or change your mind cause all they do is cry
You know
parents have to be strong
You know
it doesn’t have to be so hard
and
You know
that even though were lost
and its so
sad that you are gone
into a motel love song

this is your love song
this is your broken heart
this is your joy for the day
and this
is your mistake
and this
is your heartache
and this
is what you’ve lost
so drag your hopes on

but its not as serious as it seems
brothers and sisters listen to me
this is your eulogy
so take it with pride
with pride
with pride

this is your love song
this is your broken heart
this is your joy for the day
and this
is your mistake
and this
is your heartache
and this
is what you’ve lost
so drag your hopes on

cause
we were close once
cause
we were the quiet ones
cause
we needed to stick together
cause
we had to give it our best
but now you’re
hitching up in a hotel
