I Shoot Stars

And we will fight
(With closed minds)
To decide who’s at a greater loss
And we will flirt
(with melted hearts)
To determine love’s most worthless cost

And its all so explosive
Shooting stars into fireworks
From cars that aren’t hybrids
Burning the moon from balconies
As fights break out in the orchestra seats

It’ll be whatever you want it to be
As long as those stars burn properly
We aim with prosperity
But we missed and hit the coral reef
Annoying mermaids and sardines
And we’ll give them Band-Aids
Coated with zebra stripes
And it will be glamorous

So we’ll strut down ally ways
Like runways
And treat dumpsters
Like limos
And it will be beautiful
And we will use the sun roof
To see stars
Bleeding from bullet holes
And the man on the moon
Will call the fire department
“unfreeze the skating surfaces,
We need them for fires,
The foundation is melting like cheese”

And its all so explosive
Shooting stars into fireworks
From cars that aren’t hybrids
Burning the moon from balconies
As fights break out in the orchestra seats
