You Must Be A Brave Man

You must be a brave man to play with fire
Burnt fingers to show your girlfriend
I guess you’re clever for being a liar
Did I tell you that I told your girlfriend?
I tried to keep your secrets within me
But this bomb was turned on
Watched you very skeptically
Until this rope had become too long
The thin ice you skated on cracked
My eyes didn’t blink as they saw you drown
After my trust in you was attacked
You shoud’ve known the ship was going down
Did your ‘significant’ other know
That your significant lies just fed
On the fertillizer of ability so it could grow
Into the monster that she now dreads
Did you tell her my name
Or was my existence kept very hush
How our relationship was so tame
And then grew into something so lush
I bet you took my picture off your bed stand
Replaced by her smiling face
You let go of me and took her hand
But I can never be erased
I hope you know she knows
You can thank me later, I’ll accept it
You lit a fire and now you blow
But this heat has had no rest yet
You must be a brave man to play with fire
Burnt fingers to show your girlfriend
I guess you’re clever for being a liar
Did I tell you that I told your girlfriend?
