I thought I could bear this burden
As the wave overtook me
I assumed the pain would end
Someday, somehow...

Days pass with me in torment
Waiting in my own Hell
Instinct tells me to run
But there's no end in sight

Words repeat without voices
What if "had I known?"
My decision
My sentence.

I'll paint you a tragic picture
Using my own blood
Eternity of regret
Does nothing to change the past

If I would to shed even my skin
It wouldn't rid me of these scars
The most painful of all
The one created by my own hand

One sorrow begets the next
As I dance in the ruins of Purgatory
Instinct tells me to run
But there's no end in sight
