Walking down the empty halls

Not as empty as I thought

Images echo against the walls

Please tell me that you’re not

Doing what my eyes are seeing

Could the time go any slower

As my brain goes through the ceiling

And my heart only sinks lower

You wrap your arms around

Her flaunted little figure

My knees beg to hit the ground

As this haunting embrace lingers

I wish my feet would walk away

But they seem rooted to the floor

My mouth gapes, nothing to say

I can’t take it anymore

My stomach feels like it’s been punched

My heart is being squeezed

I think gravity has escaped my lunch

As my entire soul is seized

You see me and I blink

My head seems so hollow

I can’t get myself to think

But my thoughts soon shall go

As you watch me and I shake

I suck in the lonely air

This is more than I can take

But all I can do is stare
