hidden in the shadows
things aren’t always as they seem
you look upon, but do not see
the world that lies beneath

far beyond the comforts
of your nice and loving home
deep within the darkness
are the things you’ve never known

there are things beyond your perfect world
to you nightmares they seem
step beyond the life you know
into this painful dream

where the things from stories you were told
when you were young, come true
and although you lie, and try to hide
these things take over you

day by day you’re changing
there is no one left to blame
gazing upon your reflection
nothing seems the same

you have fallen so much further
from where you thought you’d be
and every day you’re waiting
to wake up from this dream

slowly your dream becomes a nightmare
and these things, they become you
you now know they were not stories
what you once feared has now come true

take one last long look
at the life you knew so well
things are going to change forever,
I’d like to welcome you to Hell.
