Tired eyes

They see the world
through misguidence,
the teachings they've learned
from sitting in silence,
driven to the edge they've
darkened their vision,
Blinking silently as they
make their decision,
reading books until they
hit the last word,
staring out the window
listening to things you've
already heard,
look into the two secretive doors
leading to my head,
their burnt out now, lifeless and dead,
They show the world what life can do,
seperating love, the honest truth,
you can tell that they've held pain for
so long, so many feelings locked up,
a hidden song, go ahead let it all
out its better to cry, settle down
and go to sleep, you'll need your rest
Tired eyes.
