The Key

You there, with the crying face
Come hither away from that place
I can fix all of your sorrow
I shall make for a better tomorrow
For in my hand I hold the key
To all existence that you see
You say people are dieing and people are sick
You say the world is the animal and we are the tick
I say nay, rejoice, do not feel such sadness
The world is not all chaos, evil, and madness
With this statement you disagree
For much of the planet is not free
There is much famine, disease, and strife
This sadness and discomfort is what we call life
But there is no need to despair at it all
No reason to just give up and fall
Do you remember the key I told you about?
I promise you it carries much clout
It can move mountains and make men into gods
It can make despair-torn faces into happiness nods
I will pass you this power if you promise to me
That you will do nothing but good with the key
You laugh because there is nothing in my hand
I smile because now all is grand
Your sad face is gone, your sorrow is past
That smile you hold will surely last
You will take this gift I give to you
And see what greatness you can do
The key to existence is to laugh
For happiness is the aftermath
