A mile apart

You are a mile away,
a sea has to be crossed,
to get a little closer,
you are the one I lost.

I never knew I'd feel this,
this something deep inside,
just for you and meaning:
I need you by my side.

Counting up the days now,
I am not next to you,
wanting to get closer,
is all I want to do.

I wonder will I meet you,
some day, who knows? Next year?
You told me you would visit,
I wish that day was near.

No wonder that I like you,
your features are divine,
there is only one problem,
the fact you aren't mine.

Stretching out to wards you,
I touch but only screen,
not feeling you, that hurt me,
all web cam's what I've seen.

The day I'll see you smiling,
for real and not on screen,
will break away the clouds
and make my world serene.

Somebody take me near you,
I want your love, be mine.
Tell me I ain't a flirt now,
just give me that one sign.
