At twenty-one we made a promise
To love each other and not be dishonest
We made a vow to be together
At twenty-seven no sooner no later
Being friends since we were kids
We know each other’s crimes and sins
When twenty-seven rolls around
You and I will be found
And in a special time and place
The vow we made, we will consummate
To show are love for one another
Till that day we forsake all others
