You think that you know me,
but you really don't.
Buried beneath many layers,
resides my true self.
The one I want to free so terribly,
but can't for fear of reaction.
They are a kindred spirit,
one that deserves to be freed.
Trapped in my body all these years,
begging for a chance to come out and stay.
I keep them repressed,
afraid of what people might say.
Each day that passes,
fills me with rage.
I can't be who I was born to be,
the masses wouldn't understand.
One day I hope to set them free,
for all the world to see.
For I am transgendered,
and she wants to break free.
