A Rough Ride

My heart thumping is all i can hear
standing by the chutes, my adrenaline consumes my fear
those eight swift seconds that could decide
between a good or bad ride

The gate swings open and here we go
holding on tight for five bucks in a row
don't let the rigging go, keep it in tight
you gotta hit every stride right

my eyes fixed through my caged mask
this ride could be a tricky task
my head is hot and my hand is burning
cause this wild thing wont stop turning

I hear the buzzer, what a reassuring sound
the things still bucking as i swing to the ground
this is my sport, my passion, and addiction
my feelings for it are unlike any fairytale fiction

Its something you've got to experience first hand
its a physical and mental demand
but its worth the pain, and the pains worth the pride
stronger the feeling will grow inside

You just got to get back up, outta the mud
wipe up the sweat and clean up the blood
you have the confidence that you've covered more than few
you may be soar, but a scars a better tattoo

When you on theres no debate
just pray to god he'll spare your fate
this is a life with no shame
and you bet cowgirl is what ill claim
