I don’t care what you did with her
Behind the privacy of curtains
I don’t care that you told her things
That with only her you were certain
I can ignore the sounds coming from your room
I can ignore the sweet holding of the hands
I can bite my lip and say I’m over you
Say it doesn’t burn as my toes sink in the sand
But I look at her and it got me thinking
Thoughts I can never push aside
I ask myself questions only you can answer
That will forever eat me inside
I’ll say that it’s just the weather
When it’s her that makes me sick
I can smell her before she turns the corner
And it makes me crack like a thin stick
But it’s not that she looks so good with you
It’s not that you’ve never fought
It’s none of those, what hurts is that
She’s everything I’m not
