"That day stretched towards infinity..

Piercing blue sky,

startling in its clarity,

seemed limitless; unscarred..

The grass, vividly green,

rippled like waves in an

emerald sea.

I remember cold breezes that day;

not warm. Cold winds tugging gently at my hair,

pushing me away from my bliss.

Invisible diamonds sparkled throughout;

making the sky a little more blue,

the grass a little more green.

And the clouds..

white tufts, building empires in the sky.

White castles, set to burn

by the yellow streams of gold

emanating from the sun.

White empires soon crumbled,

as dark legions infected the sky.

Shadows of doubt and fear swam across

my emerald sea, as thunder shouted at me from above.

The wind roared and howled,

agreeing to the rumbling orders of thunder.

Rain trickled down to my world

like blood trickling from a flesh wound.

Drops, at first, became

splatters, which accelerated into torrents

in a matter of seconds.

There I stood, drenched;

my bliss dissolving from happy skies

into cold, uncaring mud.

Mud that greedily lapped at my toes, ankles.

My world became a cup; a broken jar,

steadily filling, unrelenting.

Clean water, now damaged, tainted,

degraded by dirt, becomes my misery.

My bliss, my world, has been watered down,

no longer clean; no longer my bliss.

It remains a pale ghost of its beautiful self.

..Today stretches towards infinity."
