Black as the night sky
dark, dreary, dangerous
filled in by shadows
He steps into the light
eyes hidden from the world
knowing he'll never fit in
Screams echo through his mind
Tears of anguish come out
A lone child does he hear
a child not of this realm
Fallen from the graceful
her halo was bronze instead of gold
Unable to fly for her wings were clipped
He offers her blissful silence
As the windows to her soul close
whispers of nothingness welcome her
