He's in love with a picture
of a girl he has not seen.
They talk so very often
of whatever there has been.

Now sitting somewhere writing
this girl she falls in love.
Not only with his image
but with his cries and thoughts.

Though wonderful and happy
is everything around.
The girl and boy they can’t be
he is too god damn proud.

The girl she cries her eyes out
every night she tries to sleep.
The boy he can’t stop thinking
about the girl who weeps.

Together they were happy,
though only in their thoughts.
The boy and girl together,
it is against all odds.
