Nothing was going to stop
Adan Garcia's plans to become a cop!
With that infectious broad smile
That seemed to all beguile.
Even in his high school band
Adan talked of the adult career he planned.
Only one thing stood in the way -
Just how for college to pay?
An answer he diligently sought.
After much thought
An impressive man in a green suit
Said he had the answer for Adan's money problems acute.
He would offer financial aid -
Provided Adan would make a trade.
Work for his organization for just three years.
Then, money for his choice of law careers.
Adan was so relieved.
At last an answer in which he truly believed.
His plans ended in a way so sad.
Young Adan almost survived his year in Baghdad!
