Victim of Society

Lives fulfilled by societies wishes
Standing atop a balcony
Waiting for the world
To stop and stare
Wishing they could jump
But oh, why go out silently?
Wait for a scream
See your "friends" below
Watch them look at you
With emotionless eyes
They know you'll jump
But they'll never say they knew you
Cross the street now,
Don't look back
You'll be a memory soon enough they say
You watch horrified
As they disappeared from your view
Maybe they didn't see you?
Cry out to the silence
Take that step, go on
Get noticed
Make them regret walking away
They must care
You'll make them care
You're still think of them
As fear grips you for the last time
Did you really want this?
Of course you did
You can't be ignored now
The ground grows closer
Filling your mind
With fear of the end
Your 20 stories up
Ten stories...eight...one
And with your final thought
Ask yourself if they were worth it
They've made you their victim
Victim to their society
