I pray for you to sleep dreamlessly
Because you live out enough nightmares
Life goes too fast to fully grasp it
So please never let your grip weaken
Promise me you’ll never give up
And I’ll take you to the finish line
Hand in hand we’ll circle the sky
Like a couple of blue birds in delirious love
The beat of my heart will lead you
To where you already will forever lay
We can devote our lives to life itself
And prove those infatuated with death
That smiles were meant to breathe
Though I am only an accomplice
You can guide me to the falling stars
So that I can wish upon the descending angels
Hoping that they retrieve their wings
Because one day we too might be
Falling out of heavens glorious skies
I just hope that someone prays for us when we do
These building blocks for mirth
Will never meet their full expectations
But I’d be happy with the little that they’d provide
And when I die, please do not mourn
Swear to me that you won’t shed piteous tears
Instead smile with memories of our unforgetable ride
Because we were never looking for a utopia
Just a path away from misery
