To put into words how I feel about you
Unfortunately the words I have to choose from
Seem empty and vacant
Compared to what I really want to say
If only my actions
Could convey my emotions
But everything I do
Seems shallow and meaningless
Compared to the things I wish I could do
If only the gifts I give
Could show you how I feel
Alas everything I bestow upon you
Seems tiny and insignificant
Compared to the things I really want you to have
If only I had more time
To show you what you really mean to me
Sadly the rest of our lives
Seems like a very short time
Compared to the centuries I want to spend with you
If only I hadn't wasted so many years
Searching for something better
When compared to you...
