A Rock And A Hard Place

Between a rock and a hard place
is where I rest,
my mind is confused,
a broken heart fills my chest.
BUt at moments like this,
the times that I'm blue,
I find that I can only
think about you.
An hour with you
on a bad day
can melt all my worries
and problems away.
I'm sitting here
like a mummy in a tomb
listening to the silence
that fills the room.
In my mind,
I see your face.
And it puts me
between the rock and the hard place.
I'm all mixed up,
confused about what's real,
afraid to say
how I truly feel.
Love you as a friend,
let my emotions go,
or risk a great friendship
by letting you know.
The rock or the hard place?
Which one should I choose?
I'm afraid,
because either way I could lose.
