I Hold My Breath

Postponing passed emotions

Fighting and hiding

From feelings so explosive

When we're adjoined

Is when you feel the closest

More or less when words are spoken

I bite my lip

Tender vows are happily broken

I pray it never slips

I look unto the shadows

For what is unseen

An outcast for perfection

Now I've become a fiend

Addicted to the body heat

That makes mine soar

My heartbeat quickens

Yet slowers forever more

Desperately fighting

To change the situation

Un-regrettable nights

Keeps my conscious constantly achin

Deep inside reality

I steadily hold my breath

Listening more intently

To the soft beating of your chest

Keeping it forsaken

Up I keep my guard

You take one step near me

Those chains are pulled apart

The bitter sweet taste

Forbidden fruit my soul is fed

Holding my breath...

As well as the words I should've said
