I went for a walk
the other day,
I took a trip
down Memory Lane.
Where no matter where I go,
and no matter what I do,
everything leads
to thoughts of you.
I read a beautiful poem
you wrote me long ago.
And thinking of you then
made the tears begin to flow.
There were letters upon letters
reminding me of you,
and I was reminded of other
wonderful memories too.
The dance we shared
was a distant memory.
But it was like it was playing
right in front of me.
Something changed inside me,
everything was different.
I never could've imagined my life
without you in it.
The dumbest thing I ever did
was letting you go.
And that's what my trip
down Memory Lane showed.
