Here we are again in that same situation
We've passed many a time before
That time you called me a frigid so I called you a whore
That time when we were young and I hit you with a pikachu
Not much changes does it?
Years have passed it's much the same
Still playing one big emotion game
Some days we fought and some we played
Still the best of friends we have stayed
I remember that bee stung you so I hunted it down
I remember how you'd always wipe away my frown
Yet now we are again in that same situation
No ones talking and the lights in your house are off
I phoned you but you said you can't talk now you have a bad cough
12 years of this and still we squabble
Surely by now we'd be over this?
Obviously not as here I go again.
But still I love you so.
I don't think this will ever change
But I'm not sure I'd want it to
As funny as that seems
Cus at least it one thing that hasn't changed
We've both grown older
And now we both soldier
On through this war we call life
Hitting a rock on the way down the stream
You will call to apologize
And we will both feel stupid and cry
Drunken nights and long lost fights
But now where has it gone?
We have moved on
Memories are far gone
But for this I will not cry
Because I know one day hopefully soon
I will return and it will be good again
Or is this just a foolish thing to say
Shall we never again
Tell jokes and dance in the rain
Best friends forever I swear
That means no matter what happens I still care.
