So tempting does total control seem
To choose my every dream at night
And cast indecision, be given the Sight
Power to take burning memories away
A hold of what, to me, others will say
To have some think long before they speak
A grip of trust, a faith in others to keep
Sway of who leaves, and over who goes
Friends to never be blind, and always to know
To tame my confusion, not be the fool
And have hope in my future yet renewed
But to have total control, I’ll never be close
Discontent I’ll remain, with my small, little dose.
