But I know that you were trying
You just went about it the wrong way
I'm mad because you said it was finally safe for me to fall
I'm mad that I believed you and that I gave you my all
I'm mad you at you because you got me to fall so much deeper
I'm mad that you told me I was such a keeper
I'm mad at every love song that leads back to your thoughts
I'm mad at every ring I wish I could've bought
I'm mad at you for every poem you inspired me to write
I'm mad at myself for writing this one tonight
I'm mad at my lips for they're stained with your kiss
I'm mad I never doubted you

It's okay if I'm hurting, that's bound to be expected
I'm mad because you make it hard for me to feel rejected
I hate that we turned out like every relationship I had before
