I Layed Her Down To Rest

I layed her down to rest
Shes going to the best
i spoke softly to her
but only wanted to hold her

I whispered *I love you* in her ear
hoping she would hear
I just want her back
CAnt I take her back

Her love for me is still so strong
But it seems like its gone
I cant wait for the day
The day I see her again

I watch slowly as they put her in the ground
And I dont make a single sound
I listen to my heart beat
And then finally take a seat

I turn around to cry
and Ask * why did she have to die*
Couldnt you have take me
Or is this how it had to be

I walk towards my car
I want to head to the bar
I hear a voice
It said *make the right choice*

That was her voice
saying to make the right choice
Now she is only a voice
telling me to make the right choice

Even though I have a picture
I will still miss her.
