Two Choices

I didn't mean
to make you nervous.
I promise I didn't
do it on purpose.
But I'll give you some choices
if that would help.
Choice one is we're friends,
nothing else.
But me, I prefer,
choice number two
because we'd be together,
me and you.
So we'll walk together
on the paths we take,
through all the decisions
life forces us to make.
Through the years,
and the laughter and tears,
you'll stay by my side
and come along for the ride.
So I'll give you some choices
if that would help.
Choice one is we're friends,
never anything else.
But me,I prefer,
choice number two.
Because I want
to marry you.
Standing strong over the years,
you'll never cause my tears.
You stand at my bedside
for they say I soon will die.
I'll give you some choices
if that would help.
Choice one: you cry at my beside,
nothing else.
But me, I prefer,
choice number two.
I'll be waiting
to spend eternity with you.
