Slam, the door shut on her.
Her eyes stunned and wide,
As she stood frozen in her place.
They left,
Every single last one of them.
Her worst fear- her nightmare…
Became true that split second in time.

Her heart pounded faster with each passing minute,
Her eyes swelling up with the all too familiar tears.
Delicate hands began to shake like a tremor,
The girl’s knees buckled beneath her,
And she soon fell to her knees.
The salty tears streaming down her cheeks,
Landing on the ground beneath her
Leaving tiny little puddles for her clouded eyes to stare aimlessly at.
She never thought that they would actually leave,
They always said that they’ll be there for her no matter what.
Lies is what they all were.
The heart on her sleeve snapped in half.

She thought…
The tears won’t stop,
They’ll just keep coming until I’ll pass out.
Why did they leave?
What did I do wrong?
Was it something I said or did?
Please, please come back…
I’ll be better, I’ll be good
I swear.
Tell me what to do,
Tell me what to change.

Just please…
Don’t leave me here alone.
