Sing a song of beauty,
Sing a song of joy,
Sing a song of innocence,
Sing a song of boys.
For boys are ignorant,
And wistful in their youth.
For boys are blissful,
Even if uncouth.
Boys hold the truth,
The key to our hearts.
Boys have faith,
And knowledge they unknowingly impart.
Boys to men
And men to boys,
Always changing,
With little to no poise.
A freckle here,
A smile there,
Twinkling eyes,
And dark, soft hair.
Tall, they may be,
Short, so it seems.
It makes no difference,
They are still ours to dream.
So,
Sing a song of fair hair,
Sing a song of dark,
Sing a song of lovely eyes,
And sing a song for our hearts.
